AMERICAN
RV PARK:
VETERAN OWNED & OPERATED

Map 072524.jpg

Experience authentic North Dakota hospitality at its finest — and stay at the 2025 Hipcamp Best in State Award Winner while you’re at it! 🇺🇸 At American RV Park, we’re proud to be recognized as one of North Dakota’s top places to stay, and we’re perfectly positioned just minutes from Dickinson and the legendary badlands of Theodore Roosevelt National Park — where wild bison roam, prairie dogs chirp, and scenic drives wind through colorful canyons and rugged buttes that shaped a president’s love for conservation.

Spend your day hiking painted trails, spotting wild horses, or cruising the park’s breathtaking scenic loop before heading back to wide-open skies and a peaceful night’s rest. Venture south to stand atop White Butte — the highest point in North Dakota — and swing through nearby Amidon for a cold drink and a bite at the famous Mo’s Bunker Bar & Restaurant, and don't miss steak night on Fridays at South Heart's very own I Don't Know Bar. Adventure by day, award-winning comfort by night — that’s how we welcome you to the real North Dakota.

If you’re headed to explore the wide-open freedom of western North Dakota, there’s no better place to park than American RV Park. We are just minutes from the conveniences of Dickinson and a short drive from the beauty of  Theodore Roosevelt National Park — close enough for groceries and great coffee, but far enough out to still watch the beautiful sunsets in peace from your camp chair. Head south, and you can find the highest point in North Dakota near Amidon — which is a reminder that out here, the views (and the possibilities) stretch a little farther and are a little lower than in our neighboring state of Montana. lol

As a veteran-owned and operated RV park, we run this place with pride, precision, and good old-fashioned patriotism. We believe in a firm handshake, a clean site, and treating folks the way we want our own family treated. This isn’t just a stop along the highway — it is a community built on respect, service, and true North Dakota hospitality. So if you are looking for more than just a place to park your rig, pull in and fly your flag with us. We’ll save you a spot!
